TEACHING METHODOLOGY
I believe in the quotation :
"It is preferable to teach people the art of fishing rather than to give them a fish daily"
This is how I teach!!! My basic goal and target is to make students enjoy while learning. Telling students only topics and not getting response from them, doesn't at all work when it is concerned with good Teachers. I make students feel the importance of the topic by informing them its applications in everyday life. This is how I make them eager so that they can learn in the best way. Instead of giving them hand written notes on the subjects, I tell them to have an analytic and comparative study on the stuff. I also tell them recent research work that is carried out on the topics so as to make them Young Researchers. It is seen very often, when students go to Library, they feel suffocated and exhausted there. This is only because they are not used to learning from books. Teacher is the main interface between an student and a book. Something which students don't understand even after giving to it many serious readings makes them wonder: "Why can't they just do it? and What's the gap left?"- explanation by a teacher does every thing in seconds. Using books and understanding from them is necessary for students. I also believe that:
"Horses can be taken to water but can not be made to drink!!!!"
This is the methodology I follow while Teaching.
IMPORTANT!!!!
Following is supporting material for my students at MUET. It should be clear that these things can never ever fully substitute Books (already told to students) and the Lectures (delivered in class). The material can be used by students to have better understanding of the topics and and remain up to date with the announcements. It will also help students for Comparative and Analytic study on the topics. I wish my students best of luck.
